Weights are critical for presenting soft plastic lures effectively at different depths and structures. Key types include:

Drop Shot Weight: A slim, cylindrical weight that attaches to the very end of the line. It positions the bait above the bottom, creating a subtle, suspended presentation ideal for finesse fishing.

Carolina Weight: Typically a bullet or egg-shaped weight fixed above a swivel. It slides freely on the main line, allowing the bait to drift naturally behind it while the weight creates attention-grabbing vibrations along the bottom.
